The chief designer of the manufactory, Arkady Pogosyan, is a fourth-generation shoemaker. His rapid career began at the age of 13, when he worked in a shoe shop. Already at the age of 16 he became a professional fashion designer-technologist, and at the age of 19 he headed production.
Driven by the desire to produce the best shoes in Russia, Arkady trained in Italy, where he learned the intricacies of Italian shoemaking, which he later introduced into bentoni.
